| Film Afternoon: - Thursday 16th February, 1.30pm in the Lichfield room, the film Greyfriars Bobby, starring Donald Crisp, Laurence Naismith & Kay Walsh will be shown, and lasts 1hr 28mins. Tea & sandwiches will be served, £1.50 for refreshments. |
| Soul Street Comedy Night: - Sunday 19th February, 6.30pm in The George IV, with stand-up comedian Tony Vino, of the Clean Comedy network. All welcome. |
| Lichfield Churches Criminal Justice Forum: - Tuesday 21st February, 7.15pm in the Lichfield Room - is holding a General Meeting on the work of the Probation Service, particularly in the community and with prolific offenders, open to all. |
| St Chad's Walking Group: - Saturday 25th, 10.00am outside St. Chad's church - warmly invite you for a walk of approx 6 miles in the Packington area. Further details from Angela Bickley (253712). Please come suitably dressed for walking and bring any refreshments you may require. |
| Male Voices Needed: - Lichfield Gospel Choir is urgently seeking male voices to join its numbers. There are no auditions. It meets on Tuesdays at Saxon Hill School from 7 to 9 pm and is currently rehearsing for a concert in Shenstone on Saturday 17th March, as well as the 'Sing for All' event in Birmingham Town Hall on Sunday 29th April. | The Royal School Of Church Music: - Lichfield Area, are looking to expand their committee and a couple of roles they are trying to fill are the secretarial role and a young persons’ officer. Neither post would require a musician, but they are keen to try and involve somebody who comes from a non-Anglican background. If you are interested, please speak to Hazel Rendle for further details. |
| Lichfield Mysteries: - We are still looking for actors, singers (non-acting) and other helpers for the Crucifixion and Burial plays. Come along to The Lichfield Room on Wednesdays at 7.30pm if interested. The Ascension play is also rehearsing at Wade Street and needs actors and dancers. Speak to Ian Hayter for more information. |
| Anniversary Celebrations: - a short play, 10 to 15 minutes, has been written to help promote the bi-centenary of Wade Street Church. It covers the founding of the church by William Salt. It is an interesting story! We need you - there are 6 parts, male and female. The play requires little movement - just enthusiasm. It will be fun! | Sing for the Bi-Centenary!: - come and learn how to sing in West Gallery style for a special service as part of the church's Bi-Centenary celebrations on Saturday 17th March. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings 8.00pm, beginning 1st February. For more information speak to Liz Clayton. |
